My next Altec - two 3156 and 288 8L with mantaray horn. A6A

One of my friend used to say that his last speaker system would be A5. I just smiled because at that time I was too proud to listen to anybody who talked about what the best sound was. He has listened classical music for almost 50 y's (he likes to call himself Bach) and he had all kind of audio system which were available here from Western , Klang, Tannoy to German physics. He goes to concert hall for live music very often because he believe live is the best.
His vast experience in audio and music made him busy to give advice to many audio mania for their system.

But this 604b made me crazy and I had to see what other Altec could sing and I happened to meet this huge monster(it is too big to my house).

I had strong impression that Altec mid range is quite grating and piercing. But this ugly monster didn't sound like that and the sound of another monster 288 8L driver was very sweet to my surprise.

So I took it. Wow...

I couldn't believe that my wife asked me not to sell it who used to screamed at me to sell or throw all my audio out of the window.
